What the Readers Have to Say

The Radcliffs’ book feels like putting on an old pair of comfortable slippers. It’s easy to read, has the right mix of photos to prose, and is thoroughly an enjoyable read. For those of us that love automotive history, this is a great book to add to our libraries.

A story as much about family as vintage car collecting, warmed my heart to read this update that brought a whole new meaning to the father & son relationship. Thanks for sharing!

The provenance nuggets alone are worth it. You’ll look at every car show differently after this.

I laughed out loud more than once. If you love pre-war iron or just good storytelling, this is your book.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ask Bentley

The book grew out of a lifetime spent chasing, restoring, and celebrating vintage automobiles. Each car carries a story — and this was my way of preserving those stories for future generations.

It’s both. The cars are the thread, but behind each one is a moment in time, a discovery, or a family memory.

Some, yes. Others were sold, traded, or passed along to new collectors. That’s part of the adventure — these cars live many lives.

With passion first, budget second. Don’t chase trends; find a car that speaks to you, even if it’s humble. Every collection starts with a single key.

Probably the “wet little escapade” — because it shows the joy and humor of the journey, not just the polish of the cars.

That’s a good question. Yes, i’m actually working on another book my father never finished all about the Duesenberg… It won’t be your typical car but. I guess you’ll  just have to wait and read!
